Individual Therapy

Experience the peace and joy you are seeking.

Individual therapy can be a wonderful form of support if you are feeling stuck, sad, afraid or experiencing burnout. I approach therapy from a holistic perspective, recognizing how your emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and relational health all impact each other. We will use a strengths-based approach to apply the parts of your individual identity, values system and cultural background that can help you experience the changes you are seeking. Although I have a wide variety of experience working with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds, here are some particular goals I can support.

  • Individuals coping with anxiety or other disorders

  • Individuals building meaningful relationships

Heal from trauma

I work with individuals experiencing symptoms of trauma due to experiencing systemic oppression or racism, generational trauma and acute or chronic trauma. We will identify your community resources, personal resilience, strengths and hopes that will help you heal trauma. I will provide you with empowering education about the physical, mental, emotional spiritual and relational impacts of trauma. I will help you identify the coping strategies you are already utilizing and new skills you want to increase for your coping “toolbox”. Our community in the Denver metro area has many incredible resources for supporting your trauma recovery journey and we will help you get or stay connected to communities for additional support as needed.

Therapy for therapists and medical providers

I provide therapy for therapists, counselors, social workers, doctors, nurses and other healthcare and allied health providers in the Denver metro area. Whatever your role is in our medical system, you may be experiencing deep fulfillment in the work you do and you may go through seasons of burnout, fatigue and exhaustion. If you are a professional caregiver, we will focus on the unique impacts of your professional experience on your personal life.

We will get back to the passion and values that informed your choice to be a professional caregiver and adjust them to the season of life you are currently experiencing. We will identify current and potential supports and resources that support your vital role as a healer in our community. We will assess for burnout, talk about vicarious trauma, secondary trauma and compassion fatigue. You will have a safe space to share your personal experiences with the power dynamics impacting the systems you are in. We will identify strategies for you to be proactive with the toll your professional life takes on your wellness, mood and relationships. You will have a place to confidentially discuss your thoughts and feelings about your joys and pains of being a healer.
